Protica Research Approved as Medicare Supplier

Whitehall, PA (PRWEB) January 10, 2012

Protica, Inc. announced that it has been approved as a Medicare supplier by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Protica Research can now begin making its protein drinks and other medical foods available to Medicare patients for reimbursement.

?Profect protein beverage and our other protein-based products were developed for the healthcare market, so Protica?s alignment with Medicare is a natural fit. We can now make Profect liquid protein and our other protein-based products available to a broader spectrum of medical patients?, says Jim Duffy, Protica Research president.

Profect protein beverage contains Actinase, a patent pending protein formulation developed by Protica and used in dozens of liquid protein products. Actinase is a natural, hypoallergenic, enzymatically-hydrolyzed protein formula. Actinase contains all of the essential amino acids and 100% heat-stable, short-chain peptide proteins (average molecular weight: 1,400 daltons).
